Videos, Lectures, Seminars, Webinars
Over the years many of the key fundamentals of the Transition Engineering rationale, approach and methods have been presented in lectures that were captured and uploaded to YouTube. Each of these presentations was made to a specific audience for a specific purpose at a different point in the emergence of the Transition Engineering discipline. We hope you enjoy the archive of thought represented in this video collection.

Motivation & Concepts
Transition Engineering has emerged as a field because the old way of thinking about sustainability was not adequately addressing un-sustainability. Once that key idea came to light, then we developed and tested the 7-Step methodology and started discovering innovative ideas and doing shift projects. The key motivations and concepts were captured by different groups over the last few years and posted on youtube.

Webinars
GATE webinars challenge professionals (engineers, ecologists, social scientists, economists and others) to change their professional behaviour, as well as seeking to change "consumer" behaviour. How you do your work is a behaviour of course, and Transition Engineering is how to do your work to lead to a sustainable future.
Taking action on climate change is about consumer choices, or political leadership or corporate behaviour, isn't it? Reducing the future risks of catastrophic effects of global warming is the responsibility of international leaders and activist groups, isn't it? Aren't engineers just supposed to do what the market and their employers want? These presentations by Professor Krumdieck answers these questions in a surprising way.
